When a terrific artist opens her own shop we can only feel lucky! Such is the case with Val Sivilli’s Civilian Basics store in Frenchtown, NJ. Ms Sivilli is a talented designer, printmaker and painter who brings her eclecticism and sense of humour to all her work.
When a terrific artist opens her own shop we can only feel lucky! Such is the case with Val Sivilli’s Civilian Basics store in Frenchtown, NJ. Ms Sivilli is a talented designer, printmaker and painter who brings her eclecticism and sense of humour to all her work. Whether designing for canvas, print or clothing, her sense of rhythm and exhuberance infuse all she creates. Ms. Sivilli has also created a space where the teens of the community feel welcome and can comtribute to artmaking in ways which benefit the entire town. Last summer she organized a mural project for local teens which took them through the summer to complete.
